A day with the hubby

I know, I know, another blog about the beach, I feel a trend coming

Mike and I enjoyed a Sunday strolling the shores of New Port, 

watching families chase after their little ones,

and watching a sunset while local musicians filled the air with art. 

Do I need to remind you how much we both LOVE the ocean 

We long for the day that we can live within walking distance to the beach, 

spend weekends playing with our (future) kids in the surf, 

and having a faint smell of salt water linger in our hair.

Oh, ocean I love you!

Santa Monica

While Mike is busy studying I have time to explore California

Last weekends destination, Santa Monica Pier

I was so excited to see the ocean and smell the sweet salt water air

The ocean has such a powerful ability to calm my mind and put reality back in focus

The pier was full of meandering people, artists, and delicious smelling pastries

Faint music filled the air as we strolled  along the sand

The water was freezing but refreshing as we dipped our feet in the gentle tide

Family vacation ='s fun random activities

Have you ever gone gemming?

You might be asking yourself, what is gemming?

Well my friends, gemming is like treasure hunting. 

You sift through loads of dirt in hopes of finding a rare gem.

I was lucky enough to find a diamond, little did I know my sneaky brother had something to do with it.

Watch laugh and admire what a unique fun activity gemming is. 

            

When are you to old to take a nap?

My husband and I have gotten into this Sunday routine that includes at least a 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hour nap. 

Is this nuts?

No we don't have kids that keep us up all night.

Can you imagine when we do have kids how long our naps will become? 

No we don't have multiple jobs that tier us. 

If we did then I think our 2 1/2 hour naps would extend to 4 hour naps.

Sundays to us equal nap day. 

Let's raise our glasses and cheers to being adults and taking naps!
