UFC on tv, fun

watching the UFC in person super awesome

Yes, I know UFC is brutal and not everyone's sport 

but we Love it :)

The fight was at the MGM grand hotel

the great thing about this area

is that no matter where your seats are you still had an awesome view of the fight

Talk about a kid in a candy store

Justin knew everyone at the fight

every fighter, announcer, referee, the girls who hold up the round card

seriously everyone

He was in Heaven

 The pools at the Lux were refreshingly cool

we scored prime real estate by the waters edge on two comfortable lounge chairs

One thing I highly recommend in Vegas is seeing the Bellagio fountain show

it's so AWESOME  

the water becomes alive to the sound of music

the sheer magnitude of it is breath taking

Las Vegas we will be back :)

A night of food and laughter

Mike & I spent the evening down in Pala California

Pala is kind of in the middle of no where but there is an Indian Casino 

Probably the coolest thing about a Casino are the shows that come and play 

Terry Fator, one hilarious dude!

Sundays are my favorite day of the week because it's a day of just Mike and I

Beautiful weather always seems to find us here in sunny California

and this past Sunday was just another one of those glorious days

We decided it was time for the park

A park can be an interesting thing when you don't have kids

Normally you see parents chasing there little ones, pushing them on swings, having picnics, 

and at the duck pond, trying to keep them from falling in the water

For Mike and I the park is about relaxing and coming together

We sat under a large tree just watching the ducks pass us by

just talking 

It's amazing how nature seems to calm and relax my soul 

It has a way to open my heart, to restore faith, and help me remember the bigger picture in life

Oh little ducks I thank you for your cuteness 

Most people bring bread, frisbees, or other toys to the park

my husband brings squirt guns to squirt the ducks

Yep, the trouble maker little kid will never leave him

In all honesty, it was pretty funny seeing the reaction of the ducks getting squirted with water

it's like they enjoyed it but at the same time they were utterly confused as to why 

the water was flying through the air

Palos Verdes Half Marathon Completed!

I can't believe we did it

13.1 miles of beautiful hills

thank goodness I had my awesome running buddy Mike

thank you all you runners who gave advice on what to eat, how to train, etc... it worked :)

Pre Race

On the way to the race

there were shuttle vans that picked you up from a mega car lot 

 and dropped you off about 1/4 mile from the start

It was a good warm up walk to the race

Next race we will run with our camera so we can get some "in action" shots

Post Race

After the race, the only thing that hurt were my toes

Running up and down hills gave my little toes a workout 

Running with thousands of people motivate the crap out of you

The awesome supporters cheering you on along the way is a pure adrenaline shot

(thank you everyone who cheered for us as we ran :)

The run was beautiful, it followed the coast and so the views were entertaining

The run was like a sightseeing adventure

The weather was perfect, slightly overcast with a cool breeze

The 13.1 miles flew by

Best thing to wear after a race, flip flops, oh my feet loved them

Come on, how can this not make a half marathon just perfect

If you're going to run you might as well have this to look at

This race has inspired us to do another one

We were invited to a 50's themed surprise birthday party 

for Linda Frank and Jeff Smith

The other birthday gal is the one with her hand on her mouth

They both thought that they were attending a surprise birthday party for the other
