La Ceiba, Honduras
Hot and humid but breathtakingly beautiful

Thank you again for all you wonderful people who pick up hitchhikers :)

To get across the river there was two options, a bridge and a suspended cart. All the guys, including Mike, decided they were going to try out the cart. About half way across they got stuck and had to pull themselves across the rest of the way. Needless to say they got a good workout while us girls got a good laugh.

Holy camo! These animals are amazing, they "become" their surroundings.

My favorite picture of all time, doesn't just make you want to sign,"the ants go marching one by one hoorah". All through the hike there were massive trails of ants carrying chunks of leaves, quite impressive to watch.

Finally the falls

This long green snake gave me a heart attack as I was rounding a rock towards the waterfall. He/she was just sitting on the rock right next to where I put my hand. As soon as I saw it I turned around and flung myself at Mike.

One with nature

On the way back from the hike we stopped to get drinks and food and we got to witness a hilarious situation. There were rafters (tourists) going down the river (which was pretty shallow) and they got stuck. Then another raft came behind them and did the same thing. The people ended up getting out and walking the remainder of the way back. It doesn't sound that funny writing about it but it was hilarious to watch.

Baleadas - HUGE tortilla filled with beans, eggs, meats, avocado, cheese, and topped with hot sauce. DELICIOUS!
